temporary vs eternal happiness

Human happiness is finding a bag of chips

you thought you had already eaten,

and a cute pair of shoes for one dollar.

But in the end, it's all temporary,

a joy for the flesh.

What God has in store is eternal

and not worth trading for a bag of chips

or a cute pair of shoes.

So don’t let your happiness rest only in temporary things.

First of all, seek what is eternal,

so that your temporary earthly residence

is known by the Creator,

who is inviting you to live in a house that never disappears
