Have mercy now when you can

will there be more grace

when we get older?

when our friends and loved ones start to pass away...

and we sit by ourselfs, this time,

all we have is time

and we think and think

what should have we done differently?

is there someone we miss

but when they were alive,

we didn't dare to reach out to?

perhaps,

our hands were tied by shame

so we didn't pick up the phone

perhaps,

our hands were tied by rage

and we wouldn't have been able

to control the poison 

in our tone

these thoughts i think

while i am still young

i hope i learn to forgive

before time says,

we are done.
